HughesNet is a broadband satellite internet service that is offered to consumers in the contingent U.S. The only restriction for service access from this provider is that you will need clear access to the south. HughesNet offers high speed internet connections that range between 128 kbps to 500 kbps for uploads and between 700 kbps and 2 mbps for downloads. The IP addresses that are included are Dynamic (NAT) for all of the service plans offered.
There are 4 different monthly service plans offered by HughesNet. The first service plan is the home plan. This plan is designed for home access. This plan offers a 128 kbps upload max and a 700 kbps download max speed. It has a download threshold of 175 MB and a recovery rate of 50 kbps. It comes with 5 email accounts. The second service plan is the professional service plan. This plan offers consumers around 200 kbps max upload speed and 1 mbps max download speed. You will need a .74 m antenna and a 1 W Radio. It comes with 5 email accounts and it includes a Dynamic (NAT) IP Address. The third service plan offered is for small offices. This plan offers a 300 kbps max upload speed and a 1.5 mbps max download speed. The final plan that is offered by HughesNet is the business internet service plan. This plan offers up to a 500 kbps max upload speed and up to a 2 mbps download speed. You can choose form a single static IP address or 5 static IP addresses.
